• General information

  Welcome to heavenly Devon. Cuckoo Down Farm is a charming 30-acre sheep farm, set in beautiful Devon countryside near the World Heritage coastline at Sidmouth and its beautiful, safe beaches.

  Enjoy a relaxing glamping holiday in this stunning location: four beautifully decorated safari lodges, all with hot tubs and a gorgeous yurt (also with hot tub) provide relaxed and easy glamping, designed with groups, couples and families in mind.

• Accommodation

  Choose from four safari tents in the main glamping meadow, plus a slightly more secluded yurt which is tucked behind some trees. All the glamping tents have hot tubs, their own showers and loos. Relax in an idyllic setting of stunning Devon countryside, explore the private oak woods on the farm and meet the farm animals. It’s time to unwind…

  Mornings start with birdsong and days end with incredible stars, viewed from your hot tub. Warmth comes from a cosy  woodburning stove and outside each glamping tent there is a campfire pit for toasting marshmallows, telling stories and gazing at the flames.

  There is so much to do here, both on the farm and nearby. You’re a five mile drive from the lovely beaches of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and there is a wealth of days out and attractions on the doorstep, plus terrific places to eat out.

  Inside your glamping tent you’ll find fresh bedlinen, towels, a welcome pack and flowers on arrival as well as board games and books. You can also order a children’s toybox, highchair and travel cot, all free of charge. Cuckoo Down Farm is dog friendly. In fact, some might say it is dog heaven.

• Prices

  Prices start from £295 for a three-night weekend.

• Facilities

  Each tent has its own loo (compost) and camp kitchen with everything provided from corkscrews to plates to saucepans. The shower facilities are spacious and open 24/7. Fridges, washing machine and tumble dryer also provided.

  All glamping tents have their own individual showers. Our safari tents have their own individual shower rooms within the tents themselves. There is also a private shower room just beside Sweet Pea Yurt.

  We have fridges in the facilities barn, one for each tent. Each tent also has a large coolbox. You can swap freezer blocks over from a small freezer in the facilities barn to keep your food cool.

   

• Things to do onsite and nearby

  There is so much to do on the farm and nearby, you will be spoilt for choice on your stay here. Whether you decide to relax on your veranda with a glass of wine, explore the woods or take your children to meet the chickens and the ponies, the farm itself is a lovely place to unwind for the day.

  Further afield, beautiful Devon is on your doorstep. If you’re in the mood for adventures, you could head for the beach or go for a stunning country walk. Or why not tick the family fun box with a day at an adventure park? You could try out stand-up paddleboarding or see lots and lots of donkeys at the nearby Donkey Sanctuary.
