  • The Island is easily accessible from the mainland and boasts the most sunshine in the UK! This historic site has panoramic sea views north and west. The farm was also the setting for the legendary and original Isle of Wight Festival 1970, think Jimi, The Doors, Joni, The Who... So, the unique safari tents, Tapnell farm and the Isle of Wight create a new holiday experience with that extra special feel. The wonderful Team at Tapnell farm are always keen to share their knowledge and passion for the countryside with you.

Come rain or shine, you can ask as many questions as you like and get the best inside knowledge and hidden gems that need to be explored!  We have also re-homed a number of battery hens at the farm who are now clucking around happily – fat, fluffy and free! You are welcome to collect eggs each morning, fresh and delicious ex-battery free range! Pay a visit to see them camping in their very own hen houses!

  • Tapnell Farm is a diversified working farm located in the beautiful West Wight countryside, and is home to a range of attractions and accommodation. On site you will find The Cow Co Restaurant, Tapnell Farm Park, Tapnell Gallery & Gift Shop and Isle of Wight Adventure Activities, with places to stay at Tom’s Eco Lodge, Tapnell Manor and Tapnell Farm Cottages.

The Isle of Wight is celebrated historically for the world’s largest sailing regatta, Cowes Week, Queen Victoria’s Osbourne House, great locally farmed produce and the world’s largest ever festival, Isle of Wight 1970 (600,000 on the downs). Today the Island has even more to shout about. All year round the Island plays host to festivals of music, film, sports, food and drink, including The Isle of Wight Festival, Cowes Week, Yarmouth Old Gaffers, The Bestival, The Rhythm Tree Festival, The Minghella Film Festival, The Island Games and The Garlic Festival.

The great thing about being a small island is that you are never far from the coastline, with its many miles of great beaches to discover. Whether you are looking to play, relax, walk, ride, sail, surf, kite or swim there are beaches for you. Our local favourite is Compton Bay- voted one of the 50th best beaches in the world by the Sunday Times Travel Magazine. For food and drink lovers, great pubs, cafes, farm shops, vineyards and tasty restaurants welcome you all over the Island.
