The Roost consists of two luxury, hand built cedar cabins where everything provided is of the upmost quality and welfare.
There is all the kitchen equipment you will need - a kettle, toaster, induction hob, fridge (with small freezer) and a dishwasher. Plus pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, washing up liquid, dishcloths, tea towels, cooking condiments, fresh ground coffee plus various teas & fresh milk.
Relax and put the kettle on - I also include some of my homemade scones with butter & jam.
All your bed linen and extra fluffy Egyptian towels are included too.
Keep snug inside with the woodburner (and enough wood provided for at least 2 cosy nights) or step outside and luxuriate in our Japanese soak tub - filled with fresh water for each use, meaning no nasty chemicals! Step off the veranda into the meadow to your fire-pit. We include barbecuing equipment for you to enjoy some "smoke & sizzle" too! If you fancy just "staring at the stars" then enjoy sitting on the swinging cedar love seat. You will find your stay the perfect way to disconnect - but don't worry, I wasn't going to forget free, fast and reliable WiFi -so after a day of exploring the countryside, you can wind down and stream a film or post that Instagram holiday snap!
You'll find staying at The Roostt to be an immersive experience, nestling into the landscape and local wildlife. Features such as the cabins' living roofs, the wildlife pond and patches of beautiful wildflower are dedicated to sustaining our local bees, bats and all wildlife alike.
We pride ourselves on our green credentials and are happy to say we have an electric car charging point onsite for your use too.
Woof! We welcome 2 small dogs or 1 medium sized dog. We leave a blanket, towel, poo bags, water & food bowel and a treat for each dog. I will also give you information on dog friendly pubs and restaurants in the area. If you pooch has got a bit muddy on all those lovely walks, we provide doggy towels and have a dog wash area behind the site office.
There is a charge of £25 for one dog (£35 for two dogs) per stay. This is payable by card to the owner before arrival - a payment link will be sent to your email address.
The cabins are cosy & snug for two people (and up to two dogs)! Designed to make the most of inside/outside living. Finished and furnished with reclaimed wood – designed and bespoke built by one of the Forest’s best creative carpenters.

A five minute drive away you can enjoy wild swimming in the river Wye or, if you don’t fancy getting your hair wet, why not hire a canoe for the day?
Too active? Need to be Kneaded? We have an award winning cookery school in the village.
