Despite the rumours, we do have great weather here in Wales and there’s plenty of ways you can get out and enjoy it.  Think walking, cycling, canoeing & kayaking, den building, bird watching, zip wire, fishing. We've also got an endless amount of wildlife right here on site, if your lucky you can spot the amazing red kites, buzzards, rabbits, squirrels

Just in case it’s too wet, or even too sunny, there’s plenty to do indoors too!  We have several independent theatres and cinemas nearby (plus some of the larger chains), there's a climbing wall, soft play, craft centres, bread making courses and not forgetting all the bookshops in the famous Hay on Wye!

We've everything from castles to mountains. There's also cathedrals & churches, museums, gardens and stately homes... and don't miss the fairytale magic of Castell Coch. The Brecon Beacons are on our door step and have some amazing waterfalls to see

    Food & Drink

We are lucky enough to have some Michelin starred resturants close by as well as some other wonderful eateries so there is pleanty of choice for everyone. Plus plenty of local producers and suppliers and not forgetting the famous Abergavenny Food Festival which is held every year in September.

And if you’d like to get ‘hands-on’ with a rural skill on a working farm, check out courses at Kate’s Country School – it’s just down the road, always a great day out and we can recommend the cider making course in September. We also have a wonderful baker close by who runs bakery courses.

Close by we also have an award winning vineyard, White Castle vineyard,  where you can have your very own tour and a tasty platter of food to of course some very delicious wine!
