Established in 2003, Larkhill Tipis and Yurts is an award winning 20 acre eco-friendly smallholding located in beautiful countryside near Cardigan Bay,West Wales, with fantastic views over the Teifi Valley. All of the accommodation is quite private with hand-made stepping stones

  • All of the accommodation has wood-burning stoves, comfortable beds, a table, chests and a small cooker. They are all warmly furnished with colourful throws, sheepskins, blankets, pillows and large cushions. Soft lighting and lanterns create a wonderfully snug and cosy atmosphere. All have their own campfire area and picnic benches or, if you like being sociable, you can mingle with other guests at the main campfire just outside the log cabin.

The campsite is powered by alternative energy which has been developed over the last twenty five years and we have rare breed Boreray sheep and a variety of chickens and ducks.

Facilities include a well equipped communal log cabin, a play area in a woodland setting for children - we actively encourage den making and manhunt! There are two hot showers and toilets. All cooking equipment and camping paraphernalia is supplied. We supply all your firewood and toiletries - really - all you need! You can either bring your own bedding or we can supply this for you (£15 per tent per stay). All you need to bring is your own food. We are always on hand to give assistance and offer a friendly service.

This is a quiet location, ideal for families and couples looking for a relaxed, alternative and sustainable holiday. We are located in a very rural location not too far from the beaches of both Cardigan Bay, with its dolphins, porpoises and seals, and also Carmarthen Bay with its long sandy beaches. There is a multitude of things to do in the area. For the energetic there’s horse riding, canoeing, mountain bike riding, walking and hiking. For the children you can visit an Iron Age fort, ride on a steam railway, visit Folly Farm, Oakwood Theme Park or a gold mine - the list is endless! There are numerous gardens in the area including the National Botanical Garden and lots of castles. If the weather isn't kind the National Woollen Museum is very near, as are Caws Cenarth Cheese, Bowling and a very quirky Childhood Museum.
