• General information

  A stunning glamping site with a glamourous optional butler catering service, set just 15 minutes from the south east coastline and surrounded by countryside.

  There are three shepherd's huts, Corncockle, Eglantine and Sweet Briar and all sleeping up to two people, perfect for a couple looking for an escape. Each one has a double bed, comfy indoor seating, an ensuite with a toilet, shower and sink and an outdoor decking for al fresco dining. Sweet Briar has the addition of a luxury copper roll top bath.

  There are two spacious safari tents for larger groups, each sleeping up to six people in a double room, twin room and double sofa/futon bed. There is a shower room with a toilet and sink. The living area is very spacious meaning there is plenty of room for all, with sofas, a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen.

  Outside, you'll have your own private veranda with more dining space. All linen and towels are provided for both the shepherd's huts and the safari tents.

  This site is unique in that it offers an extensive range of optional bookable extras. These include roses and champagne to be waiting upon arrival, a farmhouse breakfast to be served in the adjacent barn or a butler served breakfast or dinner to be served to you out on your own veranda.

  There’s little reason to cater for yourself but simple facilities are there if you want them. Ultimately, though, this is a place for people who don’t mind paying a little more for the pleasure of great hospitality. And with the washing up taken care of, you’ll have more time to enjoy a location that’s ringed by the best of Kent. There are fields and farms all the way to the coast, quirky Deal and historic Dover to the south, Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate to the north and world-famous Canterbury a short drive inland. Exploring all this can be exhausting. Lucky, then, that you have a little hideaway where you can put your feet up and watch the shadows grow on the cornfields.

• Accommodation

  We offer two types of accommodation. The Shepherd’s Hut are really perfect for couples and tents for families and small groups. Our 6-bed tent has a double and two single oak-framed beds and for larger groups, the leather sofa bed in the living area can be converted into a small double bed allowing up to 6 to sleep in the tent. We also have a beautifully romantic Shepherd’s Hut with a double bedroom, perfect for a couple. Each accommodation includes Egyptian cotton linen, ultra-plush pillows, and duvets an antique dresser, inside and outside dining tables & chairs, coffee table, electric points, heating & secure parking with CCTV & our site has guaranteed super fast 100mpbs broadband throughout. All tents have the option to add a dog bed with chews.

• Prices

  Shepherds Huts are £235 per night for a couple.

  Safari Tents are £250 for 3 people per night with a supplement of £25 per extra person.

  2 night minimum stay at the weekend.

• Facilities

  We have a range of facilities including shower and toilet facilities, a private en site bar & grill with a chef, superfast broadband, fully heated tents and parking.

  We also offer a variety of catering options either served to your tent or at the adjoining Blazing Donkey barn restaurant & bar.

• Things to do onsite and nearby

  There are fields and farms all the way to the coast, quirky Deal and historic Dover to the south, Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate to the north and world-famous Canterbury a short drive inland. Sandwich bay is nearby too and a day trip to France is easy from Dover.
