Abbots ReadingFarm Octolodges are situated in the beautiful , tranquil Rusland Valley in the South Lakes. It is a traditional, working, family run farm within the Lake District National Park.We are situated in an excellent area for easy access to lots of lovely places to visit and fantastic attractions in the Lake District.
We have six, beautifully constructed octolodges of different sizes - 2/3 berth (£40.00 per night), 4 berth (£55.00 per night) and 6 berth (£65.00 per night). They offer a truly upmarket glamping experience. Each octolodge has heating, beds with memory foam mattresses and storage. They include power points, a fridge, kettle, microwave and a flat screen T.V. There is also a decked balcony which offers stunning views and includes a table and chairs and outside each octolodge is a designated BBQ area.

4 berth Octolodge (1 double and 2 single beds)

6 berth Octolodge (1 double and 4 singles, two of which are bunk beds*) £70.00 per night
*bunk beds are for the under 12's.
Minimum 2 night booking.
Minimum of a 3 night stay over Bank Holidays.

Late March - OctoberOur heated toilet and shower facilities are first class and are just a ten second walk from the octolodges. We also have a large undercover barn which includes a pot washing area, laundry facilities and recycling bins. There are also picnic tables and benches so it's an excellent area for BBQ's etc... if the weather is wet.
We have free range hens and delicious, fresh eggs are for sale for your enjoyment.
We have table tennis and table football in the barn.
There is lots of space for outdoor games too and we have football nets and a toddler climbing frame. We have installed a bird hide overlooking a pond which is only a short walk from the farm and also a viewing platform in an elevated position with spectacular views overlooking the Rusland Valley across to the Coniston mountains.
We are situated in an excellent area for easy access to lots of lovely places to visit and fantastic attractions in the Lake District.

We are only six miles away from Grizedale Forest which offers excellent facilities for all cyclists, from beginners trails to the more challenging, famous ‘North Face’.John Sutcliffe provides guided cycle tours and bicycle hire. Walking
We are an ideal base for walkers. Our surrounding countryside offers breathtaking scenery. There are walks to suit all levels.
