An impressive two-storey safari tent, 6 luxurious safari tents (one with a hot tub), Gypsy’s Rest and The Horsebox Hideaway are set in private woodland glades overlooking wildflower meadows. Guided by an environmental ethos and owned by a wildlife charity, profits go to nature conservation.

  • This award-winning glamping site is set at a beautiful nature reserve in Suffolk, just outside the riverside market town of Woodbridge and is well located for visiting beaches at Aldeburgh, Walberswick or Southwold. 

    High-end facilities at each accommodation include private loo and shower, fully equipped kitchen with hot running water, fridge, barbeque and fire bowl and many extra touches to make holidays special. The tents boast 4-poster beds and quirky wooden cupboard beds. Organic towels, complimentary eco products, and a welcome tea tray are provided, and beds are ready-made for your arrival.

    Luxury Lodge Tents each sleep up to 6 and a two-storey safari tent sleeps up to 8. Gypsy’s Rest provides a special vintage experience with a large shepherd’s hut and gypsy caravan (sleeps 4). The Horsebox Hideaway is a converted wooden horsebox truck set in its own meadow (sleeps 4).

    Dogs are welcome throughout the glamping season and there is a charge of £29 per dog guest (dog basket, towels, blanket, bowls and treat are included).  There is an enclosed Dog Park with a little orchard and pond near the glamping area so dogs can enjoy a run-around during their holiday.

  • There are 6 Luxury Lodge Tents (each sleeps up to 6) and a two-storey safari tent (sleeps up to 8). Gypsy’s Rest includes a gypsy caravan and a large shepherd’s hut (sleeps 4). The Horsebox Hideaway is a converted wooden horsebox truck set in its own meadow which is ideal for couples (sleeps up to 2 adults and 2 young children).

  • There is a range of on-site activities such as whittling, bow and arrow making, Meet the Animals and new for Summer 2023 is Goat Walking!  Tempting extras include locally sourced breakfast and barbeque hampers, hen coop hire, and celebration packages. An onsite pantry shop is full of quality produce and wildlife themed gifts, stocked by the local farm shop.

    There are over 100 acres of nature reserve with nature trails and a labyrinth for you to enjoy during your stay. You can also visit the friendly conservation cattle, hens, pig, goats and rabbits.

    For days out, Secret Meadows is just a 10 minutes drive to the riverside market town of Woodbridge and 25 minutes drive to Framlingham with its 12th century castle. The nature reserve is at the edge of The Suffolk coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  There is The Turks Head pub in the village as well as an excellent café, the Barn Café and you’re spoilt for choice for eateries in the surrounding area, such as the Maybush on the banks of the River Deben at Waldringfield.
